I enjoyed speaking with Thomas Paterson (Development and Communications Coordinator) from History Cherokee. We delved into the rich history of Cherokee County, Georgia, and how the Historical Society preserves it. Thomas talked about the importance of documenting and sharing the county's history and how the society collaborates with other organizations to achieve this goal. We also discussed the significance of historical societies worldwide and how they contribute to our understanding of the past. Thomas shared fascinating insights into the work of the society, the challenges it faces, and the rewards of its efforts.
